Chisholm Trail Fire Rescue is an all-volunteer organization which covers over 120 square miles of Northern Caldwell County and a portion of Hay County. Chisholm Trail Fire Rescue was dispatched August 2, 2014, to a single vehicle rollover accident on SH-130. The vehicle involved was an SUV with 12 occupants – three were trapped, several and been ejected, and two were deceased. The scene involved over a dozen emergency vehicles and multiple air transport helicopters. Chisholm Trail Fire Rescue split up in teams and worked to provide scene safety, triage victims, extricate victims, assist EMS, and coordinate air transport.
